Concerts

In October, the soloists of Orquestra XXI celebrate the centenary of Morton Feldman’s birth with a concert devoted to one of the American composer’s seminal works, Crippled Symmetry, for flute, percussion and piano. Inspired by Persian tapestry, this meditative piece unfolds through the repetition and gradual transformation of small musical patterns, each developing independently and out of sync with the others. The result is a mesmerising soundscape that invites listeners into a world of subtle shifts, suspended time and extraordinary sonic beauty.
